Application
The cathode filament is the heart of an X-ray tube. To generate X-rays, electrons must be expelled from the filament. For this purpose, current from the X-ray generator pass through this tungsten wire, which leads to wear. Therefore, the filament must be replaced regularly in open tube systems. With the METROTOM 6 scout, the change of the filament can be carried out quickly and easily by the customer himself.
